![]() ![]() The base textures you use always return to an area after you roll them. The key to all of this is to remember the grass will grow after a day or two just like other plants, it isn't instant. You can see that the grass grows differently depending on what texture is under it. I did exactly as I said above, mixing greens, 1/2 and 1/2 dirt grass and stone, plowed over all of it, planted grass and then rolled everything including the stone. This is a little stone I added to hide the vertical that forms when you try to lower around a road: Once it grows in you'll see it can really look good if you do it right. Wait till the grass grows remembering it could take a couple days or more to kick in and start. It'll look dull and like you just painted texture. Plow everything around the area and plant grass seed and then roll the snot out of all of it. Vary the size of the circle tool and place stone, spotty grass and then grass as you progress outward. To create a little stone out crop, make a "sharp" little jut out of a small hill. You can use the roller and new fields to create interesting field boundaries like dirt paths or muddy areas in lower field elevations that look like run off areas. You can use this to create spotty grass or grass lines into the stone for some really nice looking hills. No grass will grow in dirt, mud or stone. The 1/2 mud, 1/2 grass texture will grow grass in the green areas. Both "full green" textures will grow full grass. The different textures will affect how much and where grass will grow. Some fun things you can do to make some really neat looking areas. If you had dense grass green it will return to it. Whatever texture you left under the plowed field will return after you roll it. The grass will take a little while to start, but it will grow. ![]() After rolling, the ground will remain flat with no grass UNTIL IT GROWS. (can't remember the name of it, it wasn't a roller) My experience with a Mod "Roller" left the areas bright green like the pics above and remained a field. If you don't roll an area, it will remain a field and look like the bright green areas in the pics above. ![]()
